Aspiring Leaders Cohort ‘24

There are few places as special as Notre Dame, and I am ever-grateful to be part of its community. I enrolled in Notre Dame Law School for not only its academic rigor and catholic tradition, but also for its rich history of supporting nonprofit and public interest work. Notre Dame not only provided me with an education, but has supported me throughout my time as a student and life as an alumnae.

After graduation, I was able to work at a grassroots civil rights organization thanks to a public interest fellowship awarded by the Law School. While there, I worked on litigation ensuring that people in prison receive adequate medical and mental healthcare. For the last year, I have served as a law clerk for a federal judge in Hammond, Indiana—a position I only learned of through the Law School’s Career Development Office. I would not have had these tremendous opportunities to begin my legal career without the education and community of Notre Dame.

Hesburgh Women of Impact, and the Aspiring Leaders Program, have provided me with a stronger bond to the University, allowing me to connect with and learn from other professionals at Notre Dame. These are individuals with whom I share a common goal: bettering the world through faith and fellowship. I hope that my involvement in ALP will help further Notre Dame’s commitment to knowledge in service of justice.
